Meet Our Pastor Tim Folds and His Wife Melissa 
 
Timothy A. Folds Sr. was born in Gainesville Florida on March 21, 1959, at the old Alachua General Hospital. He grew up in High Springs, Florida and attended High Springs Elementary and Spring Hill Middle Schools. He attended Santa Fe High School in the ninth grade before transferring to Bronson High School where he graduated in 1977.
He married the love of his life, Melissa May in 1976. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1978 and received the call to ministry in 1980.
He graduated from the Baptist College of Florida in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and then attended Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri, where he received the Master of Divinity Degree in 1988.
He pastored Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church in Lawrence, Kansas until 1996 before moving back to Florida to pastor Bethel Baptist church in Trenton Florida until 2000.
He then became pastor of Fleming Island Baptist Church until 2008 when he moved to Graceville, Florida to become pastor of the First Baptist Church. In 2017 he became pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Slocomb, Alabama before coming to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in High Springs.
He has been on numerous mission trips to Montana, West Virginia, Haiti, Jamacia, and Ukraine. He has been a volunteer in Disaster Relief ministry of the Florida Baptist and Alabama State conventions.
Pastor Folds and his wife Melissa have four grown children and fifteen grandchildren who occupy most of his spare time.
